Ok I am finally here.  I won’t lie, I haven’t been in much of a mood to write lately because of a lot of things going on in my life that have been occupying me.  But I figured that if I force myself to write tonight maybe I can make myself get back in the writing mood all together. We’ll see how it goes.

Well tonight my brain is focused on vacations and traveling. I LOVE to travel. And we decided for our anniversary this year that we want to go to Disneyland. I’m excited because I have been very careful with saving and made sure that I was limiting myself on spending so I could put the money away to somewhere I knew would be worthwhile. We also discussed going to Hawaii in the next 2 years and taking his parents and sister and her hubs with us. I don’t have a huge bucket list, but I do know that going to Hawaii is on that list. I have always had a love for that culture and if I could be a beach bum I would. I LOVE the hibiscus flower. It’s my favorite and I love it so much that I chose to have this flower with me forever.

So for tonight I have chosen to focus on my favorite flower.

I am all about night lights. I am not a dark fan and I love how sweet and simple this is.   (source)

I’m hoping one day that I can get my own art room. And I actually have been wanting it beach themed with Hawaiian accents thrown in there.

I would definitely get this.   (source)

I have been wanting a necklace like this and I’m SO happy that I finally found one I really really like!  (source)

I SO wish I would have found this for my wedding! I would have gone perfect with my dress!! (source)

I love lighting. To me it’s so calming and I feel so peaceful when I have calming lights around me.
This I would definitely have. It’s pretty and I love the lights with it.  (source)

This is making me crave the beach so much. It’s been years since I’ve been and I can tell that I’m having severe withdrawals from it. And looking at all of these are giving me great ideas on more art projects. (which I have more I’ll be posting soon!!!)

I hope you all have a lovely night. Now it’s time for me to relax and snuggle with the hubs.

♥xoxo♥

In ways this will tie into my last post. Traveling is very high on my list of things I want to plan towards, but for now will start with the small stuff.

Plans:

My big plans now are to redecorate my house.  (And clean EVERYTHING). We have been in our house for a year and feel like I have not been able to do the things I’ve wanted to do. Mainly because it was our first year of marriage and also we were trying to figure out how to all live with each other. Getting married with kids from the start does present some challenges. (All worth it though.)

I’m trying to add more color and decorations. Our house still seems so naked and really, we don’t have much up.  I’ve been getting a lot of advice from my SIL on things to add and now it’s really starting to hit me how much I want to revamp our house.  I’m constantly looking at Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn for ideas on how to redo our house. As I’ve stated numerous of times before, I love anything vintage so that will definitely play in the picture as well.

The first two things I’ve started buying things for decorating is Rylie’s room and our bathroom. (Weird combo, I know.) But I have found things that just shouted to BUY IT NOW so I couldn’t pass them up. Rylie’s room I officially decided that I’m going to do it in an owl theme.

Similar to this……She does have a brown bed which I’m planning to paint white.

I’ve only purchased two things so far, (a little pricey) but am planning to do some artwork for her walls as well.

I got her this…….

And the green owl which I got here

For the bathroom I want to do a vintage Parisian theme.  And the only thing I really got so far was a vase with Flowers and this sweet Eiffel Tower picture.

My dreams:

My dream is for us to have this year be healthier than the previous years. I’m including my SIL and in-laws as well in this.) It seems someone is constantly sick and it’s very tiring. It hasn’t always just been a little cold or sniffles here and there. It’s been stuff that really takes you down. Like when I first was diagnoses with Celiacs. I was pretty much green I was always sick. Then kids with croup, severe kidney infections, MS, Crohn’s disease……..it’s very tiring that we can’t just be healthy for more than a month it seems.

(Don’t let me down 20011!!)

And finally…….

My Goals:

  • Take the kids to Disneyland within 2 years.
  • Travel to Europe on our 5 year anniversary. (Mainly Paris, Rome, and Venice.)
  • Progress in my art (Maybe start my won business…I don’t know.)
  • Take some design classes.
  • Take a photography class.
  • Take some sewing classes.
  • MAYBE have one more baby.

These are things I want to accomplish under the next 5 years. This shouldn’t be too hard should it?

Since yesterday was New Years, I was pretty busy and didn’t have a chance to write. So here I am trying to think of who I would want to switch lives with for a day. And this is going to probably sound weird, but I think I would switch lives with my SIL Melissa. But pre-married. I like being with my husband and it would be incredibly awkward since we are both married now.

The reason I say pre-married is more of the travel factor. I LOVE to travel. And unfortunately I haven’t been able to do much of it. When I was married before I was never able to go anywhere because a certain person who will not be named wanted to blow our money on other things instead.  The only traveling I did was for business trips. But even with this marriage we aren’t able to do much with having little kids. But at least I have done more traveling with him than before and I’m loving it.

Anyway back to what I was saying, My SIL has been everywhere. Italy, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, New York, and Boston.(And more….)  All the places I would LOVE to go. (And there are more places I would love to visit, but you get the point.

In Norway

Rome

Granted I know it’s taken her more than one day to go to all of these places, but I would still love to be her one of the days she was able to visit these spectacular sites.

The good thing though is we want to plan a couple’s trip to France and Italy so at least with her going to these places, she can be our tour guide. 🙂

(Sorry Melissa totally borrowed some of your pics.) 🙂

I know I have been totally slackin. I probably wouldn’t say that I have been slackin’ just been really busy and tired. So here are our pics from going to California. I won’t put all of them on here, but I know that every pic does have some interesting stories….

This is on the plane going to Calif. It was actually a really smooth ride and it was amazing seeing the view. There were a ton of Missionaries on the plane so that made us feel safer knowing we weren’t going to crash. LOL!

Derek wanted me to take this in front of the Buzz Lightyear ride just to rub it in Nicole’s face. It’s her favorite ride so he thought it would be appropriate.

I tried to get a good picture of Buzz’s face. Didn’t work out so well, but I was impressed by the animitronics.

This ride was awesome! It’s a game the whole way through and you are supposed to shoot targets.

This is one of the coolest rides EVER! We went on it quite a few times. I was pretty impressed by how short the lines were. We came to this one at the right time.

We were in a nerdy mood and was trying to pretend that he was flipping the bird off of his shoulder. Aw man it was such a hot hot day.

On our way home. I thought this was so amazing. In the red there was lightning, but I barely missed it after taking this. I was pretty bummed.

Not too many pictures, but I forgot how much of a pain it is doing all of this. Ha ha, oh well. I do have to say some of the highlights of the trip was the little boy that I saved and the old lady I told off. Me and Derek went in the Indiana Jones ride A LOT and one of the times we got to sit in the front with this dad and his little boy. His son had to have been between 5-7. Well at the end of the ride the dad just got off and the little boy did a blodd curdling scream for his dad. He thought he was going to be left behind. So I hurried and un-did his seat belt and man he sure ran as fast as he could to his dad. It was funny, but sad too.
One of the last nights was incredibly busy. Everyone was crammed as if we were sardines and this older lady with a stroller was running over Derek as if she was a Queen and we were her peasants. Derek apologized even though he did nothing wrong. Instead of smiling and understanding the crowd like a normal person, she glared at him as if the gates of hell were opening. Of course, he was upset. We kept walking and I made the comment when you get old an raisiny you tend to get beasty and ornery. Now it was my turn for the evil look. I don’t care. You aren’t the only one with a stroller having to deal with a crowd of people that won’t move.

These were the most awesome 5 days I’ve had. Everything was incredible and it was the best anniversary gift ever to just spend time together and be goofs. Of course it made me feel old walking around all day and being completely exhausted by the end of the night. I don’t care. Best.sleep.ever.
