Ok so I know it’s been forever since I’ve written and I promise there has been good reason. If I could write every day I would, but for now I have to limit a few days a week. But Friday I had to skip and thought I could write Saturday. And I missed it. And I missed it Sunday. And I decided to skip it all together. Now my favorite post of the week has been delayed.

So remember how I hurt my ankle and it’s taking forever for it to be healed and how it’s going on almost 3 months? Ya…..there is a possibility they may have found something else…….we aren’t for sure yet….and we are still waiting on blood tests…..but I have been a wreck because it’s just ONE MORE THING on top of everything else that we need right now. So I haven’t been feeling that great and for that I apologize for not writing.

So on to happy times, when I was younger, I had major tomboy qualities. I did have my barbies and My Little Ponies, but when my brother would leave, I would secretly play with his toys and I LOVED it! One of my favorites to play (and even favorite shows to watch!) was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My favorite? Raphael. 🙂

We don’t have blinds in our room yet (I know, weird) and the sun LOVES blaring right in my eyes so this would be a pretty cool way to cover them up. 🙂     (source)

I love fun earrings and these are worth getting! (source)

K, this hat would be super fun for my boys, but I think this picture is super cute and funny!!! (source)

I so hope one of my friends get this……………………………(source)

This one is great for adult AND kid in you. A coloring book flask? This even comes with your own set of 12 jumbo crayons. Talk about awesome. 🙂     (source)

These make me want to play with them again and watch the OLD cartoons again. I’m sorry, but I can’t really get into the newer ones they have playing now. They just aren’t the same to me.

And I promise that I’ll be better at posting. It’s hard when you aren’t feeling well and are SO tired and in pain. But being able to post is something I truly enjoy.

But NOW…….onto something else……….

Would you like to have something dedicated to you? don’t you think it’s fun when you see something out there and you think…..ya, that’s me…..that’s for ME, or that’s about ME? Well, now you can. My sister shop Abbey Roo is going to have a contest where YOU get to create a picture dedicated for you. You don’t have to be a fancy artist. Or even draw anything at all if you don’t want to. But this is still a time where YOU get to create. Head on over and send me ideas on a picture that YOU would like to see. You can either put it in the comment box or send a little sketch. I will be picking a random winner on May 13th. The Winner will get a print of the piece and it will be sold in my shop with it dedicated and named after them.

I am VERY excited to see what you all come up with and how creative you get. Remember, have FUN!!!

80’s movies. I LOVE them. That era is seriously my favorite when it comes to movies and music.  We have been having the kids watch all of our favorite movies we watched as kids to see if they would get into them. I can tell there are some things they aren’t as crazy about, but the top favorite of theirs for now is………

Who you gonna call?

That’s right. They are in LOVE! So today I am dedicating my post to one of our favorite classics!

I love these earrings. Rylie has declared that the Stay Puft Marshmallow man is her best friend. She freaks out anytime she see’s him and wants a doll of her own. If I laugh at her for being so cute, she will get mad at me. Then it makes me laugh even more.   (source)

I love these nesting dolls. I would totally put them on my fireplace. (source)

And this is just plain awesome. You can stock up early for Halloween as Dana Barrett! (Source)

This Slimer necklace is so cute with the food dangling around him! (source)

And who could forget the Keymaster? (source)

These bring back SO many memories and think these make great gifts or collectibles for ANY Ghostbuster fan. I think for awhile I may be doing segments based on my favorite 80’s flicks.  I just never get tired of them. What 80’s movies are your favorite?

Oh ballet. I am in love with you. I mean, I loved you before, but being able to FINALLY see you live, has made me faller deeper in love.

Yes. I LOVED going to the ballet. It was SO much better then what I could have expected. And I definitely plan to go to more.

I went with my SIL and some of her friends. First we went to Olive Garden for some lunch. I had my usual of herb salmon. (I’m very limited of what I can eat and usually stick with what I know.) Food was delicious as usual. I LOVE the OG.

After it was time for some Sleeping Beauty!

I attempted to try and take some photos of the inside of Capital Theater, but of course out of ALL the people taking photos, I was the one who got caught. (Figures.)  But after the first 2 acts, my SIL and I were able to have SOME success.

Me with my program

Cute Melissa with hers

Even though there were 4 acts, to me it went by quickly. I was absolutely amazed how graceful they were and yet incredibly strong.  And I was in love with their costumes. I can’t help it. I’m a girl. I like sparkly pretty stuff. So what.

I have to admit, I was really sad to see it come to an end.

Wow. I am so shrimpy.       (source)

But as I said, I will be coming to more of these. And Dracula comes out in October so I know it’s going to be amazing.

Since yesterday was New Years, I was pretty busy and didn’t have a chance to write. So here I am trying to think of who I would want to switch lives with for a day. And this is going to probably sound weird, but I think I would switch lives with my SIL Melissa. But pre-married. I like being with my husband and it would be incredibly awkward since we are both married now.

The reason I say pre-married is more of the travel factor. I LOVE to travel. And unfortunately I haven’t been able to do much of it. When I was married before I was never able to go anywhere because a certain person who will not be named wanted to blow our money on other things instead.  The only traveling I did was for business trips. But even with this marriage we aren’t able to do much with having little kids. But at least I have done more traveling with him than before and I’m loving it.

Anyway back to what I was saying, My SIL has been everywhere. Italy, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, New York, and Boston.(And more….)  All the places I would LOVE to go. (And there are more places I would love to visit, but you get the point.

In Norway

Granted I know it’s taken her more than one day to go to all of these places, but I would still love to be her one of the days she was able to visit these spectacular sites.

The good thing though is we want to plan a couple’s trip to France and Italy so at least with her going to these places, she can be our tour guide. 🙂

(Sorry Melissa totally borrowed some of your pics.) 🙂
